An Introduction to Affiliate Marketing

Affiliate Marketing is a term that has become synonymous with the Internet Marketing, but can be likened to Referral marketing,  which is the term generally used offline rather than online.

It is frankly one of the best ways to start earning an income from the internet.  It is low cost to start and can be quite lucrative as you build in experience and confidence.

As touched upon above affiliate marketing overlaps with other Internet marketing methods to some degree, because affiliates often use regular promotions methods. Those methods include organic search engine optimization, paid search engine marketing, e-mail marketing, and in some sense display advertising; such as banner ads. However, affiliates will also use less orthodox techniques, such as publishing reviews of products via article marketing and video marketing, or services offered by a partner.  Affiliates ultimately play a significant role in e-retailers’ marketing strategies.
