I have been awake since the early hours of this morning itching to get on my laptop and write about what an awesome day yesterday was.  I attended an event called Success Summit at which Dani Johnson was appearing.  If you don’t know who Dani Johnson then you need to get to know her!  Check out my post on her here!!

Dani Johnson is as real as they come! As well as an inspiring and motivational being! She talked about her abusive and dysfunctional past; the thought process that got her from being a pregnant teen, broke and homeless at the age of 21 to a millionaire at 23! Yes, a millionaire at 23!

She explained passionately that to make that happen did not take luck or prayer but skill!! Let me say that again SKILL!  Skills she had to pay for, and not simply read out of a book! She likened it to being a brain surgeon and a GP – who gets paid more? The brain surgeon of course, because he has more value in the market place. Thus, if you want to earn more you have to improve and increase your skill set.  Now, although Dani is better known in the (US) direct sales and personal development arena, her words are valid and relevant to all industries and all countries.

She talked about success and failures, which really stuck a cord with me! You have to hear her story to understand. And the importance of giving back; of moral responsibility! It was just fantastic! I made a recording of her talk which you can listen to here. It is however 2 hours long!

Another point she touched on is how people say they can’t do one thing or another, that ‘thing’ being moving out of their comfort zone in order to get from A to B. But generally they can! It is just a question of need, want and desire.  If the need is big enough YOU will find a way of doing whatever it is YOU need to do to move YOURSELF from A to B.  In her own words, she says ‘I want your desire to hurt more than your excuses’.

Right now, there are many people hurting! In their businesses, relationships, in their jobs! There are many using their credit cards to pay their mortgages…to simply live!!  But they refuse to seek help! They stick their heads in the sand like an ostrich waiting for the storm that is the economic crisis to wane but not realising that this storm is going to take a lot longer than they want it to and they have time to wait, to fully end! Our country is broke! Petrol has already gone up, and whichever party gets into power on May 6^th government jobs will have to be cut and taxes raised. So my question to you is what are you doing, going to do, in order to replace your lost income????   Time waits for no man! You have to seize the moment…today! Now! In order to remove yourself, and if not for yourself then for your childern, from the legacy of poverty and the land of ‘broke-dom’.  Instead we must be like the caterpillar that has had enough of crawling of its belly and accepting mediocrity, and goes through the transition of change to become a free and unrestricted butterfly, living a life of design rather than acceptance.

Seriously, I am on a mission! I want to bring financial education into homes of the nation so that they can make better choices with their money, make their money work harder for them and make more money!!  It is all well and good learning how to balance a cheque book or how a direct debit works compared to a standing order, but really what is the point of learning all of that if you have no money to balance? No money to direct debit or make a standing order!!  No idea on how to create an income other than getting a J.O.B.!! 

Broke cannot help broke! And there is a better way!  So if you are struggling financially – I have a solution for you, get a free financial game plan. It may be hard becoming debt free and financially independent but it is also hard being financially illiterate and watching your family struggle financially! There is a reason my company is called Butterfly Wealth Creation and not ‘Ostrich Wealth Creation’.
